Key thinkers, research methods and data

From Durkheim, Marx and Weber to Parsons, Bowles and Gintis, Willis, Young and Willmott, Oakley and Heidensohn, questions cover what each thinker argued, the evidence behind it and how to evaluate it, and flash cards link each name to the main idea.

Thinkers sit inside their own topics, so you learn them alongside the debates they belong to: the family, education, crime and deviance, and social stratification.

Research methods questions ask you to choose the right method for a research aim, spot problems with a sample, weigh reliability against validity, and read bar charts, line graphs, pie charts and tables, the way the exam asks you to.

What's inside

  • A mock test that draws questions from across your course
  • One purchase covers both exam boards
